THE pretty student nurse smiling out from the photograph is Elaine Curran – a separated mum-of-two who is currently at a Donegal hideaway with her priest lover, Father Sean McKenna.
The couple have been lying low since last weekend when the Derry priest revealed he was leaving the priesthood after falling in love with Elaine.
But in another twist to the love story, we can reveal it was Father McKenna who officiated at her wedding to Liam Curran, at St Columba’s Church in August 1992.
Our snapshot shows the Elaine just three months after her wedding enjoying a student nurses’ formal at the Everglades Hotel in Derry.
Health Centre nurse Elaine, who has children aged six and 13, split with cash and carry worker Liam, also 38, three years ago.
Although Father McKenna and the Derry mum have known each other since she was a child at the city’s Nazareth House Orphanage, it was while both where helping out at Creggan Community Centre that they became close.
Mr Curran has refused to comment on his ex’s new relationship, but his mother said: “Fr Sean McKenna has known Elaine since her time in Nazareth House Orphanage.
“Three years ago Elaine and Liam broke up. The family is very upset about all of this and we are having a very hard time at the minute.”
Last Saturday and Sunday Fr McKenna stunned his Ballymagroarty congregations at Holy Family parish by telling them of his decision to quit the Catholic Church for a “loving” and “beautiful life- giving relationship”.
He broke his silence on Friday in the wake of rumours speculating that Elaine is pregnant, slamming them as “completely untrue” and having caused “great distress”.
He said: “It is for this reason that I now find it a painful necessity to state the following points.
“Elaine and I have been friends for many years. However, our relationship began a long time after the break-up of her marriage.
“At no time did I counsel her. She is not pregnant

When Phyllis Swainston got two turkeys for the price of one, she drove her spare bird to the Salvation Army’s Newark office.
But her good deed didn’t make her feel so great Thursday when she found out the charity still needed a lot more food.
“It broke my heart,” said the Union City resident, whose husband lost his insurance job earlier this year, not long after turning 60.
So Swainston headed to the nearest supermarket, where $40 bought her three turkeys, 10 cans of cranberry sauce, four boxes of stuffing, four packages of instant mashed potatoes and several cans of green beans to help feed needy families.
Others can do the same by dropping off food on weekdays between 9 a.m. and noon and 1 and 4 p.m. at the Salvation Army, 36700 Newark Blvd. Today, workers at the NUMMI auto plant, in Fremont, will drop off more than 1,000 pounds of nonperishable food and make care packages for the needy.
There are many other ways to give and lots of help to get in southern Alameda County this Thanksgiving season, whether you’re into cranberries or curry.

The first Top Twenty is based on data collected by Kaspersky Lab’s version 2009 antivirus product. The ranking is made up of the malicious programs, adware and potentially unwanted programs most frequently detected on users’ computers.
There were no significant changes to the Top Twenty in May.
There are only two newcomers: Palevo.ddm, a P2P worm and Swizzor.a, a Trojan.
The former, in addition to spreading in various public peer-to-peer networks, infects removable media. This gives it an additional boost, helping it to spread even more widely.
The latter utilises some interesting and sophisticated code obfuscation tricks and methods for masking its presence on the system. Since hundreds of new variants of this malicious program are generated every day on cybercriminal servers, this Trojan has made it into both our Top Twenty rankings.
All malicious, advertising and potentially unwanted programs in the first Top Twenty can be grouped according to the main classes of threat, which we detect. In the past few months, the changes in the balance between these classes have not exceeded 5%.
A total of 42,520 unique malicious, advertising, and potentially unwanted programs were detected on users’ computers in May. This figure is almost exactly the same as last month’s. The second Top Twenty presents data on which malicious programs most commonly infected objects detected on users’ computers. Malicious programs capable of infecting files make up the majority of this ranking.
Contrary to the trend of the past several months, May saw more changes to the second ranking than the first.
The most interesting changes were: TrojanClicker.HTML.IFrame.aga, going straight in to third place, and the appearance, albeit at the bottom of the ranking, of Virus.Win32.Sality.ae.
IFrame.aga is one more version of the iframe that the now widespread Virus.Win32.Virut.ce uses to infect web pages. And Sality.ae is the latest version of the well-known Sality virus. The new variant replaces Sality.y after it dropped out of our ranking in January. As a result, there are three members of this family on our ranking again

About PV-10
PV-10 is a proprietary, injectable formulation of Rose Bengal, a
compound that has been in use for nearly thirty years by
ophthalmologists to assess damage to the eye. It has also been used as
an intravenous diagnostic to detect ailments of the liver. Rose Bengal
is a small molecule agent with an established safety history, a short
half-life in the bloodstream, and is excreted via the liver and kidneys.
Provectus has discovered a novel use for Rose Bengal based on the
observation that it is selectively toxic to cancer calls via a process
called chemoablation whereby cells undergo a form of cell death that
mimics both features of necrosis and apoptosis.
About Provectus Pharmaceuticals, Inc. (www.pvct.com)
Provectus Pharmaceuticals specializes in developing oncology and
dermatology therapies. Its lead oncology agent, PV-10, is designed to
selectively target and destroy cancer cells without harming surrounding
healthy tissue, significantly reducing systemic side effects. Its
oncology focus is on melanoma, breast cancer and metastatic liver
cancer. The Company has received orphan drug designation from the FDA
for its melanoma indication. Its lead dermatological drug, PH-10, also
targets abnormal or diseased cells, with the current focus on psoriasis
and atopic dermatitis. Provectus has recently completed enrollment in
three of its Phase 2 trials — PV-10 as a therapy for metastatic
melanoma, and PH-10 as a topical treatment for atopic dermatitis and for
psoriasis. It has also recently initiated a Phase 1 trial for PV-10 for
liver cancer. Information about these and the Company’s other clinical
